Good Teachers don’t teach because they get paid for it. They don’t teach for the holidays or the hours. Those who ‘can’t’ certainly wouldn’t be able to teach in this day and age.
Those teachers who love their subject are more frustrated than those who love their learners. Teachers don’t teach subjects or year groups or classes or topics, levels, or courses they teach learners. You can teach without love, or interest in your learners but you will never achieve the same outcomes as those who pour their own heart into it every day. As a teacher, I now have some idea how much I must have been loved by my teachers. I hope my learners will one day realise the same about me.
